There was a time when Magix_enga was one of the biggest names in Kenya’s entertainment industry. Between 2015 and 2019, his music dominated radio stations, clubs, and television screens across the country. As both a musician and producer, he played a major role in shaping the Gengetone and urban music movement that captured the hearts of millions of young Kenyans.
At the peak of his career, money flowed freely. He performed at packed concerts, drove expensive cars, and lived a lifestyle many could only dream of. Together with his wife and young children, life seemed perfect from the outside.
However, the music industry changed rapidly. New artists emerged, trends shifted, and bookings became fewer. The fame that once followed him everywhere slowly faded. Financial struggles began to pile up, and the pressure of maintaining his former lifestyle became unbearable.
Unable to cope with the stress, Magix_enga turned to drugs. What started as occasional use quickly developed into a dangerous habit. His health deteriorated, and he slipped into depression. Days turned into weeks without work, and bills continued to accumulate.
His marriage also suffered. Constant arguments over finances and his drug use created a deep divide between him and his wife. Eventually, the relationship collapsed, and she left with the children, leaving Magix_enga feeling more alone than ever before.

Mercy’s support became the turning point in Magix_enga’s life. She motivated him to attend rehabilitation programs, focus on his health, and rebuild his confidence. Whenever he felt like giving up, she reminded him that his story was not over.
Months passed, and Magix_enga gradually abandoned drugs. He began exercising, producing music again, and reconnecting with his family. His smile returned, and so did his ambition.
Today, many people are amazed by his transformation. The once-troubled producer now looks healthier, happier, and more focused than he has in years. While he may no longer enjoy the overwhelming fame he once had, he has found something much more valuable—peace, purpose, and genuine love.
Looking back, Magix_enga often says that success did not save him. Fame did not save him. Money did not save him.
Love did.
And thanks to the woman who believed in him when he had stopped believing in himself, he now wakes up every morning ready to build a better future.
